Eileen's background in Paint horses is steeped in tradition from the early years when she was first introduced at her Aunt and Uncles' farm at the age of 8.   Starting young. Eileen was  spending every minute with the horses which soon unlocked a life changing journey.  Learning to ride and drive each new arrival was common in her everyday life, teaching a trick or two for laughs when visitors arrived like  rearing on command,  counting, shaking guests hands to hoof, playing dead and running circles to bring out a smile.   Those were the days my friends :)

Raised and taught in an environment of  kind handlers I now recognize that my Grandfather, Aunt and Uncle were very much "ahead of their time" as natural "gentlers".  Over the years Eileen has believed the feeling of being with horses is a "biological" one, horses were in her blood  and their teachings gave her more than you could ever imagine.

Every Sunday on the Lords day it was declared a day of rest at the farm and Eileen would be spending her afternoons at Suffolk Downs Race Track with Grandpa learning all she could about the race horse with a confirmation lesson at every start circle, then testing my knowledge all the way home as to horse anatomy and what makes them tick.  It was a gift to be allowed "behind the scenes" to walk, groom, listen and learn as her grandfather and trainers chewed cigars, laughed and shared each of their observations and discussing every stride of every race.  Put on the backs of those who just raced on the hotwalker back then was a dream come true!

Over the years Eileen has actively ridden and exhibited in many disciplines and phases of horsemanship.   Today that now includes Stallion Handling, Breeding, Mare Care, Foaling, Imprinting and preparation of Colts and Fillies for the show ring as a part of our daily routine.  Eileen has been in horses for 59 years!

During those years we have spectated and participated with many great mentors in Natural Horsemanship including International Horseman  Monty Roberts, Ray Hunt, Buck Brannaman, Clinton Anderson, Craig Cameron, Julie Goodnight, Kenny Harlow, Monty Bruce, and John Lyons  to name a few.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about us!

 My Best! Eileen
